I have finished the Aran jumper for the 1st birthday on Saturday. It is made out of a Cleckheaton 80% Wool 20% Viscose, it was an older yarn in my stash. The pattern makes it feel thick and very warm which will be great for winter.
I did start the next Aran baby jumper (different pattern) but was so tired last night that when it came time to do the bobble, I couldn't get my head around it, so I quickly ripped it back to nothing, then "lights are on" it came to me what I was supposed to be doing, in discussed with myself I packed it away and went to bed, which is where I should have gone before I started the bobble row, oh well, today is another day, I shall start it again tonight.

You are having the first day of winter as we are having the first day of summer, and the wheather there and here is the same, rain and rain and rain and cold...'
I have always had difficulties with bobbles, I have tried them couple of times, even when I'm wide awake!
That sweater looks very comfortable and warm and lovely.
Hi Thanks for comment my post,The wool/angora is absolutely gorgeous to touch and the colour is more vibrant in real life!
Love your jumper and baby one is reaaly great!
Keep trying with bobbles!!!!!!!
That jumper looks great. Is is very strange to be on water restrictions in Winter. We have had hardly any rain in May, but Tasmania is not in drought in the north so we have no worries - not that we waste water. There are restrictions in Hobart in the Summer. It can grow to be a way of life, can't it???
Love the little baby sweater! So cute!
I used to hate bobbles SO much - until I made one sweater in whihc they looked really cool. Good luck!
Thanks for the blog visit and for admiring the blue shrug I made for my sister. Your baby sweaters are great! It's raining here as well, however, it is summer; it's weird that you now have winter, so your projects are for warm weather, whereas our projects are for summer!
Such cute sweaters!
And to respond to your question on my blog (what breed my dog is)... She's half pit bull and half boxer. I just need to teach her that the laundry basket isn't a good spot for naps :)
keep up the great knitting.

I really like the jumper and photos never do true justice to the yarn.
I agree it is great to have the rain but geeze its bloomin cold.
What a pretty sweater! I am envious of your skills!
I remember a very heated argument my daughter had with her new friend from New Zealand thirteen years ago - she told her friend that her birthday was on the first day of summer (June 21st) and her friend adamantly insisted that day was the first day of winter. Her mother had to explain that in the US it was summer, but below the equator, it was winter. They were awed by that fact.
