Wool, Wool, Wool..............

We shopped till we dropped on our bus trip. What a day and so much wool, we were in heaven. I bought Patons Caressa yarn to knit my Mum a scarf for Mothers Day, the pattern is the Lacy Scarf from the Annual Creative Knitting Magazine. I also bought some sock yarn, I am going to reach my goal of making socks this year (missed it last year). Wool for hats for our May Exhibition and Sale, the list goes on. I will try to post a picture of the Lacey Scarf of what is knitted over the last two nights.

On the Needles

WIP's keeping m up at night are a dark blue baby jumper in double moss stitch, then before going to bed I put a few more tassles on a scarf/wrap in a beautiful olive green Karabella yarn. I'm not sure if I will sell it at the Exhibition and Sale in May or maybe give it to my Mum for Mothers Day. One more sleep then I am off on my first bus trip with knitting group to a yarn store in Western Sydney, I can't wait, my list of things I might like to start is growing by the minute, maybe I should just wait till I get there and see what yarns I like then worry about the pattern.

I have just uploaded some photos off my camera, so now I can take some of my knitting and post them so others can see.

Still trying to work out how to set my blog page up, all the ones I have been reading are so very nice.

I am knitting madly for an exhibition and sale in May for the knitting group I am in. I have some baby clothes, scarfs, hats on the go. When I learn how to post a photo I will put some up.

I am working full time, so I am usually knitting in my lunchtime, at home every second I get, housework always takes second place, until we run out of clean towels or undies. I have to get better organised.

Getting Started

I am very new at this and I am trying to set up a blog.

I have been reading heaps of the Secret Pal 4 blogs, it is so inspiring reading about all the things people are knitting and seeing photos of their works.

I have just been knitting hats for a dear friend who recently had brain surgery, she looks great in the hats and they will keep her head warm while her hair grows back. She reckons it is very liberating having no hair, I might add she looks great without hair.
